Its been a long time, I shouldnta left you

I wish this weren't so blurry, but that's how.  Cole didn't like it, because he was frowning in it.  Maybe I should try another one sometime.

The skillz to pay the billz

I collected a lot of paper throughout the past couple of months, and found I did not have a lot of recycling options for some of it. Cardstock, magazines, envelopes, many of it various odd colors--I didn't want to throw it in the trash so I decided to try and make a kind of pulp canvas.
I made some mistakes with the process that I wouldn't repeat; for one, next time, I'm just going to use the pulp paper (2) after draining it (3) and spread that on the cardboard background. This time, I instead added flour, gesso, and a splash more water (once the mix was too thick) in order to make a solid paste. I think this mix would be great as a sculpture tool all it's own, but it was too flat and thick to achieve the effect I desired.

In order to create a more textured surface I went back and added some dry paper strips. It was a little more successful. When I'm done with the final product I'll post it, but for now I haven't figured out how to best complete this project.

I am not concerned, though, because it was hella fun mushing stuff around.
